Our Journalists
Salvador Dos Santos
Salvador Dos Santos is an investigative journalist based in the United States, widely recognized for his in-depth reporting, meticulous research, and commitment to uncovering the truth across borders.
Originally from Mexico City, Dos Santos developed a passion for journalism at a young age, inspired by the power of investigative reporting to expose corruption and drive social change. He earned a degree in Journalism and Communication Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where he specialized in investigative methods, data journalism, and media ethics.
After beginning his career reporting on social justice issues, organized crime, and government accountability in Mexico, Salvador relocated to the United States, where he expanded his investigative work to cover transnational corruption, immigration systems, corporate misconduct, and human rights abuses affecting Latino and migrant communities. His cross-border perspective has become a defining strength of his reporting.
Dos Santos has contributed to major news organizations and investigative outlets, producing long-form reports, exposés, and documentaries that often involve months of research and collaboration with international journalists. His work is known for combining hard evidence with powerful storytelling, ensuring that complex investigations remain accessible and impactful.
In addition to reporting, Salvador is a strong advocate for press freedom, transparency, and journalist protection, particularly for reporters working in high-risk environments. He frequently mentors emerging journalists and speaks at universities and conferences throughout the United States and Latin America.
Now living in the U.S., Salvador Dos Santos continues to pursue investigative journalism with the belief that holding power to account – no matter where it operates – is essential to a functioning democracy.
